In California, students under 18 must obtain a work permit to be employed.

Approval Process
- Secure a job offer.
- Complete the work permit application.
- Submit the application to the Career Center in P-2.
- Obtain approval.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be under 18 years old and enrolled in school.
- Maintain a minimum GPA (often 2.0 or higher).
- Have good school attendance and behavior.
- Be employed in a legal job (certain jobs, like newspaper delivery or working for parents, may have different rules.
